Research on a variety of film openings

Pretty woman

Dark Knight

Final Destination 3

Pulp Fiction

The Shining

Resevoir Dogs

Here are some film openings that are very creative...

A series of unfortunate events:

I like that ...
  • the opening credits incorporate pieces of the film carefully
  • the colour scheme is monochrome, as it suggests darkness
  • the transitions are smooth
  • each image used has carefully been selected
  • the drawings look as though they have been made by children, especially good because the main characters are children

This opening uses a variety of effects, including colour saturation and fill, in order to change the colour of the actress that is used to appear more comic book like.
The opening incorporates a real person and drawings.
