Evaluation - (to be spoken)
In my opinion, the recreation of 'The Devil inside' went rather well. My group were especially organised and willing to work which was excellent and meant that we could do the recreation quickly and efficiently. I am pleased with the end product (seen above), because although the location and costumes are not correct, the camera angles are spot on.
The recreation process enabled me to learn how to schedule and organise filming. Before doing the recreation I was unaware of the planning that is needed before filming can even take place; there needs to be a shooting schedule, props list, actors list, plan of camera angles and a script. I have also learnt how to operate the camera and the importance of the acting, ie. trying my hardest not to laugh.
I think that the recreation task has prepared me for the main task in some aspects, as I have been able to come up with and produce a short film clip. I feel happier organising my main task now, as I have been inspired by the recreation; it's not always films that have blood, gore and monsters that are the scariest, psychological horrors can be just as, if not more effective. I have decided to do my main task by myself, because I feel that I would be able to organise and produce my ideas by myself. The task has given me confidence and belief in myself that the filming will not be as difficult as I previously belived.
An impressive reflection on the task of shooting and editing the recreation. Good imitation of camera angles, sound and dialogue showing clear understanding of the purpose and effect of techniques. A particularly good evaluation.
